The Classical Pilates Method
A complete system of movement, created by Joseph Pilates, passed on faithfully to its original order and principles.

A method with an origin
Joseph Pilates developed his method — which he called Contrology — during the first half of the twentieth century. The classical approach preserves the repertoire, the order of the exercises and the apparatus as they were conceived, passed from teacher to student ever since.
The principles
Concentration, control, centre, flow, precision and breath. Six principles that turn a series of exercises into a practice of full attention: every movement has a purpose and a way of being performed.
From the centre to the limbs
Every movement is born from the centre of the body. By strengthening and organising that centre, the limbs move more freely, the body finds better alignment and the breath follows naturally.
The apparatus
The method is practised on apparatus designed by Joseph Pilates himself, such as the Reformer and the Barrel, which guide and support the body with precise springs and surfaces. At the studio we work with classical method equipment, largely by Gratz, inspired by the original designs.
A practice for everyone
You don't need previous experience or a particular fitness level: the method adapts to each person, and personalised attention lets you progress safely, at your own pace.
